Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

1: "Regional residents experience increased access to the arts via a reduction in geographic, cultural and/or physical barriers." We are committed to reaching those that are underserved in our community. 3: "The capacity of those providing arts experiences is increased or strengthened by changing, expanding, or enriching the ways in which they connect to their communities through the arts." Everything we do with RiverSong is with the intention of building our audience: through ticket sales, sponsorships and donations, in-kind donations, community partnerships, and our volunteer base. These groups all benefit from our efforts by being at the festival, by our broadcasting their support, and using their services. Each year we reach out to new groups to expose them to MN music and performers and the overall experience of being at the festival. 5: "Regional artists connect to new audiences and/or build relationships that provide artistic growth." We have learned that one of our greatest assets is our commitment to MN performers and bands. We have positioned ourselves as Minnesota's Homegrown Music Festival, and 2020 will see only MN performers/bands on our stages. While we have always had a majority of MN performers, this will be our first year at 100%. We have seen comments in past surveys that our audience would like to see more local and regional music. In addition to our attendees being exposed to a rich variety of music, we are fully supporting MN artists in their ability to reach new audiences and build their capacity. 1: We will send out a survey to all of our volunteers right after the festival. We will also debrief with several members in our community that use assistive devices, and get their feedback as to what worked and what we can improve on for 2021. 3 Our reporting methods will gauge attendance levels, sales, and overall revenues. Since going to all online ticket sales in 2019, we can now track where all of our ticket holders come from across the state. 5 We send out a survey to all performers immediately following the festival to gain their insight on key areas based on these questions: How would you describe the festival from a performers' point of view? Did you have any trouble finding the venue, getting in, or getting set up? In the past, our performers have always complimented us on how well we take care of them, from initial contact to our volunteers on-site.
