Project Overview
Utilizing acoustic instruments such as acoustic guitar, washtub bass, fiddle, and haunting three part harmonies, Amanda Standalone and the Pastryshop Girls play original music based in the Americana/folk tradition. They also play an eclectic mix of obscure cover tunes, and a few modern pop songs simplified, not synthesized. Each musician in the group can hold her own, but the real magic happens when they stand together, and when they make fun of one another. Two performances of this program took place in the LARL region, July 16, 2014 at the Crookston Library and July 17, 2014 at the Moorhead Library.

The audience will enjoy a performance of original music by professional musicians, experience a variety of instruments and hear a little background about each, and hear some background as to how songs were composed and written. The perrformance will include a question and answer portion so the audience can ask questions.
